In April 2013, Canada Egypt Business Council (CEBC) will send a promotional mission to Canada; so as to attract Canadian investments to the Egyptian market, study the possibility of boosting the trade exchange volume between the two countries as well as encourage tourism to Egypt.
Moataz Raslan, Chairman of CEBC, said the visit will comprise a number of Egyptian businessmen to discuss developing the Egyptian Canadian relations, working on boosting the volume of the Canadian investments to Egypt, and attracting capitals. The Chairman underscored the significance of sending a reassuring message to the Canadian side to elucidate that the investment climate in Egypt is good and denies the negative image conducted by media, besides there are several opportunities for investments in Egypt.
The Chairman added that the visit to Canada is to take up the arrangements necessary for the mission, in which a number of Egyptian businessmen and investors, who are seeking to establish an Egyptian Canadian investment partnership, will participate.
Raslan has mentioned that the Canadian investments volume will exceed one billion dollar by the end of 2012.
