CBE’s FinTech Egypt launches new programme for women entrepreneurs

The Central Bank of Egypt‘s FinTech Egypt initiative announced on Thursday that it has launched the Women for Women in FinTech Programme to provide innovative fintech solutions to support female entrepreneurs in expanding their businesses.

The initiative, which commenced in March as part of the Accelerate’ha programme, is planned to resume for six months, providing women entrepreneurs with intensive training sessions and workshops in different fields, to highlight the significance of fintech, as well as directing entrepreneurs to adopt innovative fintech solutions in their businesses.

CBE deputy governor Rami Aboul Naga stated that the initiative aims to localise fintech applications and support female business owners.

12 startups were selected to participate in the programme, presenting their business proposals to experienced women leaders for guidance and support.

The programme targets empowering women entrepreneurs in Egypt and encouraging the adoption of innovative fintech solutions for business development.
