Egypt’s Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) witnessed the groundbreaking ceremony for China’s Di Seta accessories and ready-made clothing project in West Qantara industrial zone on Sunday.
The project’s first phase, valued at $40 million, spans 83,000 square metres and is set to provide 1,200 direct jobs, with operations expected to begin in September.
SCZone Chairman Waleid Gamal El-Dien highlighted the zone’s success in attracting 15 projects with total investments of $490 million, generating over 20,000 jobs.
