China’s largest automaker SAIC Motor Corp Ltd is seeking possible partners to enter Egypt’s automotive market in the coming period, Egyptian Trade Minister Tarek Qabil said Saturday.

The Chinese state-owned composite has a representative office in Egypt, which conducts studies to have presence in the country alongside other Middle Eastern countries.

The company is China’s largest carmaker by sales volume as it sold in 2015 more than 6 million cars. It has joint ventures with major international brands such as General Motors, Volkswagen, Volvo, and Italy’s Iveco.
