An alliance involving Egypt’s Ministry of Housing, Arab Contractors and Chinese CSCEC has completed the designs for Egyptian new capital city project – Phase I, an insightful source told Amwal Al Ghad.
The initial designs of the first phase that will commence at the beginning of April include new cabinet’s building along with 12 other ministerial buildings and the parliament building. The alliance will also build a new convention centre, a fairground, and 15,000 residential units for low and middle income citizens.
The sources added that phase I designs has been drawn by a team of Egyptian consultants in cooperation with China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) . In addition Egypt’s Petroject is to take part in the implementation of the constructional works.
Moreover, the ministry of housing is responsible for negotiating the project’s finance with the Chinese banks.
