CNOOC completes China’s largest LNG base

China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) subsidiary has completed the construction of China’s largest LNG storage base in Yancheng, Jiangsu Province.

The LNG base, with a total capacity of 2.5 million cubic metres spread across ten tanks, supports energy security and green growth in the Yangtze River economic belt.

Connected to major gas pipelines, it supplies Jiangsu, Henan, Anhui, and Shandong provinces. Once fully operational, it can process up to six million tons of LNG annually, meeting Jiangsu’s residential gas needs for about 28 months.
