Daniel Radcliffe will not join Harry Potter TV series cast

Daniel Radcliffe did not have any discussions about being a part of the upcoming Max reboot series of Harry Potter, according to his interview with Access Hollywood on Monday.

“I think it’s very much like, they’re going for a new series and there will be someone else playing Harry, so I think it will be very weird for me to show up. I’m very excited to see what other people do with it,” Radcliffe said in an answer to the idea of him appearing in the series.

Warner Bros. and Max announced back in April that they are adapting the J.K. Rowling Harry Potter books into a TV series, promising to be faithful to the book series.

The series is expected to run for 10 years, promising the authenticity of the original books, bringing Harry Potter to new audiences around the world while the original classic films remain at the core, said the studio.

The cast of the anticipated TV series will feature new faces yet-to-be-announced taking on the roles of Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley, played by Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint, respectively, from 2001 and 2011.
