Danyal, Emilia thank Hamas for compassion during captivity

Israeli hostage Danyal wrote an emotional letter to express his gratitude to his captors for their kindness towards his daughter, Emilia.

Despite the Israeli bombardment that everyone in Gaza had to bare, including the Israeli hostages, Danyal talks about the extraordinary acts of humanity he saw by the Hamas generals.

During their time in captivity, Emilia was treated with kindness and gentleness, and was also receiving attention, sweets, and fruits.

The actions by Hamas made Emilia “felt like a queen in Gaza,”.

According to Danyal, what they went through in Gaza helped shield her from lifelong psychological trauma that could have arisen from being taken as hostage.

In his letter he also acknowledges the challenging circumstances and losses experienced by his captors in Gaza due to the Israeli bombardment which killed around 20,000 innocent civilians.

Therefore, he expressed his desire and wishes for their health and well-being.
