Dina A. Fattah Honored For Contributions To Egyptian Banking Journalism

The media figure Dina Abdel Fattah, editor-in-chief of Amwal Al Ghad, has been honored at “Forsan Al-Kelma” celebration today in recognition of her contributions to the Egyptian banking journalism in the last years, said Sabry Ghoneim, chairman of the Arab Information Center organizing People and Banks Conference.

Abdel Fattah was the founder of “Banks and Financial Institutions” economic insert in Akhbar Al Youm Newspaper which contributed to raising awareness of people on the importance of the banking sector and encouraging the launch of other economic newspapers and inserts.

After graduating from Faculty of Mass Communication and Receiving Master’s degree in Media and Journalism from the American University in Cairo, she held many posts in media and journalism.

She hosted Al Shaab Yourid TV talk show on Al Tahrir Channel from June 2011 to February 2012, but quitted due to the continuous interference and restrictions imposed by the Channel, after revealing a series of events exclusively.

Abdel Fattah was chosen as one of the most prominent TV presenters with two other TV presenters when she hosted a number of Al Qahera Al Yom’s shows with Amr Adeeb on Orbit TV channel in 2007 and 2008.

The prominent media figure has been the editor-in-chief of the first Arabic specialized economic monthly magazine and website “Amwal Al Ghad” since 2009.

She was the deputy editor-in-chief of Akhbar Al Youm Newspaper and launched the first economic insert named “Banks and Financial Institutions” in 2007.
