Direct Charter Flights from China to Aswan start Today: Egypt’s Minister

Direct charter flights between Aswan and three Chinese cities have started today, Egyptian tourism minister Hisham Zaazou announced. This step would enhance cultural tourism and open new gates for Chinese tourism in Egypt.

Zaazou stated that the first direct flight from Shenzhen to Aswan kicked off Saturday morning, noting that the current month would witness other direct Charter flights between Shanghai and Aswan as well as a flight from Chengdu to Aswan.

In addition, there are three regular flights between Beijing and Cairo per day and other 5 regular ones between Guangzhou and Cairo. This comes within Egypt’s efforts to increase incoming tourism from China.

The minister expressed his optimism about Chinese tourism in Egypt as a promising touristic market especially in the light of China’s growing economic growth and massive manpower.
