ECA Fights Against Rising Costs Of Private Schools Uniforms

The Egyptian Competition Authority (ECA) is currently studying fighting the violations made by private schools concerning selling uniform for students with high prices in agreement with manufacturers and merchants.

Sources said ECA is currently preparing a memorandum to ask the Ministry of Education to not allow private schools to design the uniform so as not to pose a pressure on parents who are forced to buy the school uniform with high prices.

Amwal Al Ghad earlier reported on September 5th that the prices of the private school uniforms rose by 25% and the prices of the government school uniforms increased by 10% from a year earlier, although prices of textiles did not relatively change.
