Cairo International Airport authorities have banned Amr El Kady -The Former CEO EFG-Hermes – from traveling before leaving to Sudan, according to the decision of the General Attorney.
EFG-Hermes announced that the Amr El Kady has left the group since 2005, and the group does not have any knowledge that the decision to ban him from traveling relates to the period of his work in the group.
During the passengers’ traveling procedures of the Egyptian plane heading Khartoum, the passport officers discovered that Amr El-kady’s name exists on the list of who are banned from traveling according to the General Attorney’s decision, then his trip was cancelled and El-kady was taken out of the customs office under the supervision of the security.
To be mentioned that Amr El-Kady has worked for more than 20 years in the sectors of commercial banking, investment banking, and investor’s relations, before joining Citadel Capital as the head of investors’ relations and risk management department.
El Kady also helped in the establishment of research department at EFG-Hermes, before taking over the presidency of risk management of publicity and IPO coverage in the leading regional investment bank.
