EGAS, Chevron discuss expanding natural gas cooperation

Egypt’s state-owned Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) held talks with US energy major Chevron on strengthening cooperation in natural gas transportation and exports. The meeting took place on Tuesday on the sidelines of the Egypt Energy Show (EGYPES 2025).

The discussions covered Chevron’s exploration and production activities in Egypt and potential areas for expanded collaboration in the natural gas sector. Frank Cassulo, Chevron vice president of International Exploration and Production, reaffirmed Chevron’s commitment to deepening its partnership with Egypt, highlighting the country’s strategic role in the energy industry.

He also expressed the company’s interest in participating in EGAS’s bid rounds, thanks to the new investment incentives introduced by the Ministry of Petroleum, along with plans to boost production from existing fields.
