The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has posted gains during Sunday morning worth EGP 403 million as the capital market has amounted to EGP 350.329 billion according to data compiled by Amwal Al Ghad at 11:05 GMT (09:05 a.m. in Cairo).
The main index, EGX30 went up 0.18% to reach 4958.45 p. EGX20 climbed 0.51% to hit 5782.29 p.
Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 slumped 0.32% to reach 437.02 p. Price index EGX100 edged down 0.01% to hit 750.81 p.
Traded volume reached 8.406 million securities worth 27.368 million, exchanged through 1.744 thousand transactions.
This was after trading in 94 listed securities; 51 declined and 25 advanced while 18 keeping their previous levels.
Egyptians and Arabs were net buyers seizing 94.9% and 2.83% respectively, of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 506.764 thousand and EGP 12.442 thosuand excluding the deals.
Non-Arab Foreigners were net sellers seizing 2.27% of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 519.205 excluding the deals.
Leading Shares:
EGX’s leading shares witnessed collective upwards except for the shares owned by EFG-Hermes Holding (HRHO.CA) which went down by 0.78% to hit EGP 11.40.
On the other hand, shares of Orascom Telecom Media & Technology Holding (OTMT.CA) soared 9.80% to hit EGP 1.68. Shares of Orascom Construction Industries (OCIC.CA) inched higher 0.91% to reach EGP 258.01.
Additionally, share of Commercial International Bank- Egypt (CIB) (COMI.CA) surged 0.45% to reach EGP 29.10. Shares of Orascom Telecom Holding (OTH) (ORTE.CA) climbed 0.30% to hit EGP 3.30.
