EGX closes all red on April 23rd

Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed red on Tuesday. The main index, EGX30 dropped by 4.86 per cent, to 26,777.05 points.

The small to mid-size enterprises’ index, EGX70 sunk by 5.06 per cent, to 6,213.97 points.

The index, EGX100 index dipped by 5.03 per cent, to 8,817.36 points.

The total market cap reached 1,818,813,426,875 Egyptian pounds.

 

The Egyptians and Arabs were net sellers with 23,732,871,924 Egyptian pounds, and 1,116,083,247 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, the Non-Arab Foreigners were net buyers with a total of 24,848,955,171 Egyptian pounds.

Top gainers on Tuesday

The shares of Ismailia Development and Real Estate Co (IDRE.CA) climbed by 4.96 per cent, to close at 22.450 Egyptian pounds a share.

The shares of Egyptian Iron & Steel (IRON.CA) jumped by 4.89 per cent, to close at 16.310 Egyptian pounds a share.

The shares of ARAB POLVARA SPINNING & WEAVING CO. (APSW.CA) surged by 4.55 per cent, to close at the price of 5.050 Egyptian pounds a share.

Top losers on Tuesday

The shares of Medical Packaging Company (MEPA.CA) declined by 12.86 per cent, to close at the price of 1.287 Egyptian pounds a share.

The shares of Rights Issue Of Egyptian Chemical Industries Kima-3 (EGCH_r3.CA) fell by 10.88 per cent, to trade at the price of 2.130 Egyptian pounds a share.

The shares of Sinai Cement (SCEM.CA) dropped by 9.23 per cent, to the purchasing price of 10.030 Egyptian pounds a share.
