Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the green area on Thursday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, went up by 1.23 per cent to 55,498.72 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, climbed by 1.66 per cent to 6,749.94 points.
- The index EGX35-LV advanced by 1.80 per cent to 6,888.09 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70, rose by 1.52 per cent to 21,061.13 points.
- The EGX100 index jumped by 1.57 per cent, to 27,681.98 points.
The total market cap reached 4,396,606,061,222 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with 818,440,091 Egyptian pounds and 11,854,384,357 pounds, respectively. On the other hand, Egyptians were net buyers with 12,672,824,447 pounds.
Top gainers
- The shares of Creast Mark For Contracting And Real Estate Development went up by 10.11 per cent to 3.920 pounds a share.
- The shares of Alexandria Containers and goods rose by 9.61 per cent to close at 33.980 pounds a share.
- The shares of General Silos & Storage jumped by 9.12 per cent, closing at 319.370 pounds.
Top losers
- The shares of TransOceans Tours dropped by 7.14 per cent to 0.065 pounds at closing.
- The shares of Catalyst Partners Middle East –CPME fell by 5.19 per cent to close at 36.010 pounds a share.
- The shares of Speed Medical sank by 5.19 per cent, closing at 0.457 pounds a share.
