Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the green area on Sunday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, went up by 1.12 per cent, to 55,350.36 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, jumped by 1.30 per cent to 6,618.32 points.
- The index EGX35-LV soared by 1.46 per cent to 6,848.98 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70, climbed by 3.87 per cent to 21,621.83 points.
- The EGX100 index rose by 3.18 per cent to 27,911.41 points.
The total market cap reached 4,278,916,463,681 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with a total of 82,628,502 Egyptian pounds and 72,338,236 pounds, respectively. On the other hand, Egyptians were net buyers with 154,966,738 pounds.
Top gainers
- The shares of Grand Investment Capital surged by 20.00 per cent, closing at 74.400 Egyptian pounds per share.
- The shares of Societe Arabe Internationale De Banque S.A.E. rose by 19.91 per cent, reaching 2.530 Egyptian pounds per share.
- The shares of El-Nile Co. For Pharmaceuticals And Chemical Industries went up by 19.43 per cent to close at 396.520 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers
- The shares of Kafr El Zayat Pesticides went down by 6.90 per cent to close at 13.770 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Lotus For Agricultural Investments And Development dropped by 5.92 per cent to close at 1.590 per cent a share.
- The shares of El Kahera El Watania Investment dropped by 5.59 per cent, to close at 96.560 Egyptian pounds a share.
