Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the green area on Sunday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, went up by 1.61 per cent, to 53,911.1 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, rose by 2.94 per cent to 6,636.61 points.
- The index EGX35-LV climbed by 1.60 per cent to 6,598 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70, jumped by 3.04 per cent to 19,952.98 points.
- The EGX100 index advanced by 2.77 per cent to 26,366.99 points.
The total market cap reached 4,263,119,363,872 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with a total of 72,105,851 Egyptian pounds and 222,462,679 pounds, respectively. On the other hand, Egyptians were net buyers with 294,568,530 pounds.
Top gainers
- The shares of Misr Beni Suef Cement surged by 20.00 per cent, closing at 356.640 Egyptian pounds per share.
- The shares of El Obour Real Estate Investment rose by 16.05 per cent, reaching 29.870 Egyptian pounds per share.
- The shares of Misr Cement (Qena) went up by 15.92 per cent to close at 219.990 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers
- The shares of National Printing went down by 3.29 per cent to close at 47.390 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Marsa Marsa Alam For Tourism Development dropped by 3.16 per cent to close at 5.510 per cent a share.
- The shares of Atlas For Investment and Food Industries dropped by 2.99 per cent, to close at 2.270 Egyptian pounds a share.
