Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the green area on Tuesday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, went up by 0.96 per cent to 53,006.11 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, advanced by 0.60 per cent to 5,946.48 points.
- The index EGX35-LV climbed by 0.56 per cent to 6,156.81 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70, rose by 0.51 per cent, to 16,215.87 points.
- The EGX100 index leaped by 0.49 per cent, to 22,032.22 points.
The total market cap reached 3,829,352,717,367 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers, with a total of 2,537,530,394 Egyptian pounds and 24,633,320,544 pounds, respectively. On the other hand, Egyptians were net sellers with 27,170,850,938 pounds.
Top gainers
- The shares of Saudi Egyptian Investment & Finance went up by 20.00 per cent to 228.510 pounds a share.
- The shares of Golden Textiles & Clothes Wool rose by 16.96 per cent to close at 100.000 pounds a share.
- The shares of Amer Group Holding jumped by 12.75 per cent, closing at 2.830 pounds.
Top losers
- The shares of Tycoon Holding Company For Financial Investments dropped by 6.79 per cent to 24.700 pounds at closing.
- The shares of Mena Touristic & Real Estate Investment fell by 6.59 per cent to close at 7.090 pounds a share.
- The shares of Delta For Printing & Packaging sank by 4.82 per cent, closing at 195.120 pounds a share.
