Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the green area on Thursday. The main index, EGX30 went up by 0.73 per cent, to 29,605.12 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33, jumped by 1.04 per cent to 3,120.06 points.
The SMEs index, EGX70 soared by 1.33 per cent, to 8,229.69 points.
The index, EGX100 index rose by 1.14 per cent, to 11,326.45 points.
The total market cap reached 2,196,159,327,343 Egyptian pounds.
The Arabs and Non-Arab Foreigners were net buyers with a total of 1,212,253,857 Egyptian pounds, and 5,776,113,072 Egyptian pounds, respectively. On the other hand, the Egyptians were sellers with 6,988,366,928 Egyptian pounds.
Risers on Thursday
- The Egyptian Company for Construction Development-Lift Slab (EDBM.CA) shares rose by 19.90 per cent, to close at the price of 0.500 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The Egyptian Modern Education Systems (MOED.CA) shares climbed by 15.63 per cent, to trade at the price of 0.407 Egyptian pounds a share.
- International Company For Fertilizers & Chemicals (ICFC.CA) shares jumped by 13.72 per cent, to the purchasing price of 11.770 Egyptian pounds a share.
Fallers on Thursday
- El Wadi For International and Investement Development (ELWA.CA) shares fell by 4.98 per cent, to close at 0.858 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Rowad Tourism (Al Rowad) (ROTO.CA) shares declined by 4.98 per cent, to close at 30.720 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Cairo Educational Services (CAED.CA) shares dropped by 4.46 per cent, to close at the price of 31.510 Egyptian pounds a share.
