The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed in the green area on Sunday, with the main index, EGX30 surging by 3.10 per cent to 30,445.2 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33 rose by 3.39 per cent to 3,187.79 points.
The SMEs index, EGX70 jumped by 2.07 per cent to 7,682.27 points.
The EGX100 index soared by 2.49 per cent to 10,852.87 points.
The total market capitalisation reached 2,169,084,307,962 Egyptian pounds.
Egyptians and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with a total of 49,437,347 Egyptian pounds, and 252,996,391 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, Arabs were sellers with 302,433,737 Egyptian pounds.

- Shares of Oriental Weavers (ORWE.CA) jumped by 18.72 per cent to close at 34.750 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Edita Food Industries S.A.E (EFID.CA) soared by 12.79 per cent to close at 32.800 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of El Ezz Porcelain (Gemma) (ECAP.CA) climbed by 12.63 per cent to close at 27.200 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers
- Shares of Rights Issue of Aspire Capital Holding for Financial Invest (ASPI_r2.CA) sank by 13.79 per cent to close at 0.050 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Arabian Cement Company (ARCC.CA) dived by 3.48 per cent to close at 14.430 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Obour Land for Food Industries (OLFI.CA) plunged by 3.22 per cent to close at 19.220 Egyptian pounds a share.
