Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the green zone on Thursday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, went up by 0.79 per cent to 52,375.39 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, climbed by 0.25 per cent to 5,528.33 points.
- The index EGX35-LV soared by 0.28 per cent to 5,697 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70, jumped by 0.74 per cent, to 13,819.35 points.
- The EGX100 index leaped by 0.72 per cent, to 19,351.18 points.
The total market cap reached 3,620,085,168,459 Egyptian pounds.
The Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers, with total purchases of 273,361,238 Egyptian pounds and 10,910,625,232 Egyptian pounds, respectively. On the other hand, the Egyptians were net sellers with 11,183,986,470 Egyptian pounds
Top gainers
- The shares of Ceramic & Porcelain went up by 13.78 per cent to 20.150 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of QALA For Financial Investments rose by 8.66 per cent to close at 4.390 per cent a share.
- The shares of Egyptian Arabian(Themar)Comp. For Securities&Bonds Brok. EAC jumped by 8.25 per cent, closing at 4.200 Egyptian pounds.
To losers
- The shares of Sues Canal Company For Technology Settling dropped by 7.94 per cent to 636.000 Egyptian pounds at closing.
- The shares of Delta For Printing & Packaging fell by 3.95 per cent to close at 129.670 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Misr Cement (Qena) sank by 3.65 per cent, closing at 195.610 Egyptian pounds a share.
