Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the red area on Monday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, went down by 1.56 per cent to 54,796.55 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, dropped by 1.89 per cent to 6,585.47 points.
- The index EGX35-LV plunged by 2.23 per cent to 6,768.67 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70, fell by 2.67 per cent to 20,625.93 points.
- The EGX100 index sank by 2.30 per cent, to 27,066.7 points.
The total market cap reached 4,300,877,632,120 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with 1,222,876,077 Egyptian pounds and 20,515,054,514 pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, Egyptians were net buyers with 21,737,930,591 pounds.
Top gainers
- The shares of Taaleem Management Services rose by 20.00 per cent, to close at the price of 22.680 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Speed Medical climbed by 19.86 per cent, closing at the price of 0.519 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of United Housing & Development jumped by 19.38 per cent, to the purchasing price of 21.810 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers
- The shares of Grand Investment Capital fell by 13.20 per cent, to close at 42.010 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of The Arab Ceramic CO.- Ceramica Remas declined by 10.97 per cent, to close at 1.380 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Delta For Printing & Packaging dropped by 8.23 per cent, to close at the price of 332.000 Egyptian pounds a share.
