Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the red area on Wednesday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, dropped 1.29 per cent to 54,224.93 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, fell by 0.78 per cent to 6,598.53 points.
- The EGX35-LV index sank by 0.71 per cent to 6,705.02 points
- The SMEs index, EGX70, plunged by 1.16 per cent to 20,222.74 points.
- The EGX100 index went down by 1.14 per cent to 26,686.9 points.
The total market cap reached 4,296,711,897,693 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers, with 842,853,585 pounds and 11,161,636,149 pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, Egyptians were net sellers, totaling 12,004,489,734 pounds.

- The shares of Rubex International for Plastic and Acrylic Manufacturing went up by 19.97 per cent to 16.940 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Egyptian Gulf Marseilia For Real Estate Investment climbed by 12.14 per cent to 10.250 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of National Housing for Professional Syndicates rose by 11.99 per cent to 82.030 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers
- The shares of KORRA dropped by 8.84 per cent to 6.190 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Housing & Development Bank sank by 4.79 per cent to 112.000 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Minapharm Pharmaceuticals went down by 4.64 per cent to 839.080 Egyptian pounds a share.
