Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) closed in the red area on Monday, with the main index, EGX30 going down by 0.91 per cent to 29,325.2 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33 tumbled by 1.52 per cent to 3,021 points.
The SMEs index, EGX70 dropped by 1.94 per cent, to 7,972.35 points.
The index, EGX100 index fell by 1.68 per cent, to 10,993.7 points.
The total market capitalisation reached 2,139,662,713,999 Egyptian pounds.
Non-Arab Foreigners were net sellers with 3,004,697,568 Egyptian pounds. Meanwhile, Egyptians and Arabs were net buyers with 2,535,373,408 Egyptian pounds, and 469,324,160 Egyptian pounds, respectively.
Top gainers
- Shares of International Co for Investment and Development (ICID.CA) climbed by 5.36 per cent, to close at the price of 3.540 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of El Nasr for Manufacturing Agricultural Crops (ELNA.CA) jumped by 4.97 per cent, to trade at the price of 28.320 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Arab Polvara Spinning and Weaving (APSW.CA) surged by 4.91 per cent, to the purchasing price of 8.540 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers
- Shares of Suez Canal Company for Technology Settling (SCTS.CA) plunged by 12.23 per cent, to close at 78.310 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Grand Investment Capital (GRCA.CA) dived by 10.65 per cent to close at 10.740 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Minapharm Pharmaceuticals (MIPH.CA) sank by 7.15 per cent to close at the price of 159.180 Egyptian pounds a share.
