Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mixed on Monday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, went down by 1.07 per cent to 51,813.43 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, dropped by 0.84 per cent to 5,426.69 points.
- The index EGX35-LV fell by 1.03 per cent to 5,566.13 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70, leaped by 0.56 per cent, to 13,501.79 points.
- The EGX100 index advanced by 0.18 per cent, to 18,860.9 points.
The total market cap reached 3,552,712,781,304 Egyptian pounds.
The Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with 1,125,816,634 Egyptian pounds and 18,577,298,608 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, the Egyptians were net sellers with 19,703,115,242 Egyptian pounds.
Top gainers on Monday
- The shares of El-Nile Co. For Pharmaceuticals And Chemical Industries rose by 20.00 per cent, to close at the price of 122.640 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Egyptian for Tourism Resorts climbed by 19.98 per cent, closing at the price of 13.030 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Arab Real Estate Investment CO.-ALICO jumped by 16.23 per cent, to the purchasing price of 4.010 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers on Monday
- The shares of Credit Agricole Egypt fell by 12.25 per cent, to close at 25.000 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Alexandria Mineral Oils Company declined by 3.90 per cent, to close at 7.880 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Alexandria Containers and goods dropped by 3.86 per cent, to close at the price of 29.130 Egyptian pounds a share.
