Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mixed on Tuesday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, went down by 0.93 per cent to 52,230.61 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, fell by 0.39 per cent to 5,560.52 points.
- The index EGX35-LV dropped by 0.09 per cent to 5,738.28 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70, jumped by 0.22 per cent, to 13,973.22 points.
- The EGX100 index leaped by 0.04 per cent, to 19,524.47 points.
The total market cap reached 3,657,301,233,811 Egyptian pounds.
The Egyptians and Arabs were net buyers, with total purchases of 12,288,246,554 Egyptian pounds and 7,217,292,315 pounds, respectively. On the other hand, the non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with 19,505,538,869 pounds
Top gainers
- The shares of Subscription Rights Of South Valley Cement -1 went up by 77.14 per cent to 2.480 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Misr Oils & Soap rose by 20.00 per cent to close at 266.260 per cent a share.
- The shares of Alexandria New Medical Center jumped by 19.98 per cent, closing at 38.800 Egyptian pounds.
To losers
- The shares of General Silos & Storage dropped by 4.37 per cent to 272.540 Egyptian pounds at closing.
- The shares of El Arabia Engineering Industries fell by 3.97 per cent to close at 2.420 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Gogreen for Agricultural Investment sank by 3.49 per cent, closing at 2.490 Egyptian pounds a share.
