EGX closes mixed on 9 Sept

Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mixed on Wednesday.

  • The benchmark index, EGX30, climbed 0.58 per cent to 56,500.74 points.
  • The Shariah index, EGX33, rose by 0.75 per cent to 6,763.73 points.
  • The EGX35-LV index dropped by 0.51 per cent to 7,007.03 points
  • The SMEs index, EGX70, fell by 0.31 per cent to 21,334.92 points.
  • The EGX100 index sank by 0.23 per cent to 27,950.35 points.

The total market cap reached 4,426,407,620,575 Egyptian pounds.

Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers, with 1,141,301,538 Egyptian pounds and 6,178,229,041 pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, Egyptians were net sellers, totaling 7,319,530,580 pounds.

Top Gainers

  1. The shares of KORRA went up by 20.00 per cent to 6.900 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. The shares of Egyptian Arabian(Themar)Comp. For Securities&Bonds Brok. EAC climbed by 19.94 per cent to 8.720 Egyptian pounds a share.
  3. The shares of Nasr Company for Civil Works rose by 12.82 per cent to 7.130 Egyptian pounds a share.

Top losers

  1. The shares of Grand Investment Capital dropped by 8.65 per cent to 74.540 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. The shares of Cairo Educational Services sank by 8.01 per cent to 125.860 Egyptian pounds a share.
  3. The shares of Aspire Capital Holding For Financial Investments went down by 7.08 per cent to 0.433 Egyptian pounds a share.
