Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mixed on Thursday. The main index, EGX30 went up by 0.06 per cent, to 29,997.69 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33, dropped by 0.23 per cent to 3,182.08 points.
The SMEs index, EGX70 fell by 0.10 per cent, to 8,516.47 points.
The index, EGX100 index sunk by 0.11 per cent, to 11,666.54 points.
The total market cap reached 2,243,609,634,429 Egyptian pounds.
The Arabs and Non-Arab Foreigners were net buyers with a total of 2,629,021,320 Egyptian pounds, and 4,438,579,497 Egyptian pounds, respectively. On the other hand, the Egyptians were sellers with 7,067,600,817 Egyptian pounds.
Risers on Thursday
- Cairo Pharmaceuticals shares rose by 14.24 per cent, to close at the price of 109.670 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Speed Medical shares climbed by 12.37 per cent, to trade at the price of 0.427 Egyptian pounds a share.
- International Company For Fertilizers & Chemicals shares jumped by 8.89 per cent, to the purchasing price of 12.250 Egyptian pounds a share.
Fallers on Thursday
- South Cairo & Giza Mills & Bakeries shares fell by 6.05 per cent, to close at 71.960 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Rowad Tourism (Al Rowad) shares declined by 4.99 per cent, to close at 27.620 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Rakta Paper Manufacturing shares dropped by 4.69 per cent, to close at the price of 25.610 Egyptian pounds a share.
