Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mostly green on Wednesday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30 went down by 0.11 per cent to 53,931.92 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33 rose 0.09 per cent to 6,061.2 points.
- The EGX35-LV index added 0.23 per cent to 6,368.53 points
- The SMEs index, EGX70 gained 0.69 per cent to 17,706.12 points.
- The EGX100 index grew 0.49 per cent to 23,597.48 points.
The total market cap reached 3,951,140,876,406 Egyptian pounds.
Egyptians and Arabs were net sellers, with 725,778,119 pounds and 3,920,762,940 pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with a total of 4,646,541,058 pounds.

- The shares of Catalyst Partners Middle East –CPME went up by 18.54 per cent to 21.480 pounds a share.
- The shares of Alexandria New Medical Center climbed by 12.10 per cent to 121.000 pounds a share.
- The shares of Glaxo Smith Kline rose by 9.94 per cent to 121.700 pounds a share.
Top losers
- The shares of Naeem Real Estate Holding Group dropped by 3.57 per cent to 17.550 pounds a share.
- The shares of ARAB POLVARA SPINNING & WEAVING CO. sank by 3.47 per cent to 8.910 pounds a share.
- The shares of Rubex International for Plastic and Acrylic Manufacturing went down by 3.37 per cent to 13.200 pounds a share.
