Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mostly green on Wednesday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, dropped 0.06 per cent to 53,265.16 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, climbed by 0.26 per cent to 6,601.5 points.
- The EGX35-LV index rose by 0.14 per cent to 6,530.69 points
- The SMEs index, EGX70, jumped by 0.27 per cent to 19,695.01 points.
- The EGX100 index advanced by 0.22 per cent to 26,010 points.
The total market cap reached 4,203,358,120,504 Egyptian pounds.
Egyptians and non-Arab foreigners were net sellers, with 50,448,953,031 pounds and 2,245,402,733 pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, Arabs were net buyers, totaling 52,694,355,764 pounds.
Top Gainers
- The shares of TAWASOA For Factoring went up by 19.89 per cent to 8.620 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Catalyst Partners Middle East –CPME climbed by 8.91 per cent to 41.800 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Sabaa International Company for Pharmaceutical and Chemical rose by 8.20 per cent to 6.200 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers
- The shares of GMC GROUP FOR INDUSTRIAL COMMERCIAL & FINANCIAL INVESTMENTS dropped by 4.09 per cent to 1.640 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Delta For Printing & Packaging sank by 4.09 per cent to 305.000 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Marsa Marsa Alam For Tourism Development went down by 3.80 per cent to 4.810 Egyptian pounds a share.
