EGX ends week mostly red on 30 April 2026

Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mostly red on Thursday.

  • The benchmark index, EGX30 went down by 1.19 per cent to 51,760.97 points.
  • The Shariah index, EGX33 fell by 0.35 per cent to 5,540.01 points.
  • The index EGX35-LV dropped by 0.04 per cent to 5,758.92 points.
  • The SMEs index, EGX70 rose 0.04 per cent, to 14,028.98 points.
  • The EGX100 index lost 0.18 per cent, to 19,591.72 points.

The total market cap reached 3,668,338,826,858 Egyptian pounds.

Egyptians and Arabs were net buyers, with total purchases of 11,661,354,363 pounds and 1,798,744,259 pounds, respectively. On the other hand, non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with 13,460,098,622 pounds

Top gainers

  1. The shares of Subscription Rights of Alexandria New Medical Center -2 went up by 29.71 per cent to 40.650 pounds a share.
  2. The shares of General Company for Land Reclamation, Development & Reconstruction rose by 20.00 per cent to close at 214.110 pounds a share.
  3. The shares of El Arabia for Land Reclamation jumped by 20.00 per cent, closing at 396.150 pounds a share.

To losers

  1. The shares of Northern Upper Egypt Development & Agricultural Production dropped by 5.00 per cent to 3.040 pounds a share.
  2. The shares of Remco for Touristic Villages Construction fell by 4.91 per cent to close at 4.070 pounds a share.
  3. The shares of Raya Holding for Financial Investments sank by 4.23 per cent, closing at 6.570 pounds a share.
