Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed on a mixed note on Wednesday.
The main index, EGX30 went down by 0.13 per cent, to 30,545.11 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33, nudged down by 0.02 per cent, to 3,185.59 points.
The small to mid-size enterprises’ index, EGX70 climbed by 1.58 per cent, to 7,688.98 points.
The index, EGX100 index rose by 1.34 per cent, to 10,856.48 points.
The total market cap reached 2,176,181,994,614 Egyptian pounds.
The Arabs and Non-Arab Foreigners were net sellers with a total of 160,384,753 Egyptian pounds and 1,973,910,378 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, the Egyptians were buyers with total of 2,134,295,131 Egyptian pounds.
Top gainers on Wednesday
- The Arab Dairy Products Co. Arab Dairy – Panda (ADPC.CA) shares rose by 20.00 per cent, to close at the price of 2.880 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Juhayna Food Industries (JUFO.CA) shares climbed by 19.98 per cent, to trade at the price of 35.070 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Arabian Food Industries DOMTY (DOMT.CA) shares jumped by 19.97 per cent, to the purchasing price of 21.630 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers on Wednesday
- Alexandria National Company for Financial Investment (ANFI.CA) shares fell by 8.69 per cent, to close at 23.860 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Memphis Pharmaceuticals (MPCI.CA) shares dropped by 7.41 per cent, to close at the price of 55.830 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Natural Gas & Mining Project (Egypt Gas) (EGAS.CA) shares declined by 6.67per cent, to close at 46.210 Egyptian pounds a share.
