EGX closes on mixed notes on Feb. 27

Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) closed in mixed notes on Tuesday, with the main index, EGX30 inching up by 0.94 per cent, to 29,205.16 points.

The small to mid-size enterprises’ index, EGX70 declined by 0.45 per cent, to 7,542.38 points.

The index, EGX100 index dipped by 0.01 per cent, to 10,536.64 points.

The total market cap reached 2,028,646,772,251 Egyptian pounds.

Arabs and non-Arab foreigners transactions were mainly buying with a total of 3,397,664,294 Egyptian pounds, and 3,460,919,582 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, the Egyptians were net sellers with 6,858,583,876 Egyptian pounds.

Top gainers on Tuesday

The shares of Pyramisa Hotels (PHTV.CA) rose by 20.00 per cent, to close at the price of 144.000 Egyptian pounds a share.

The shares of Arabian Cement Company (ARCC.CA) climbed by 20.00 per cent, to trade at the price of 15.660 Egyptian pounds a share.

The shares of Medical Packaging Company (MEPA.CA) jumped by 19.97 per cent, to the purchasing price of 2.097 Egyptian pounds a share.

Top losers on Tuesday

The shares of A Capital Holding (ACAP.CA) fell by 13.11 per cent, to close at 1.511 Egyptian pounds a share.

The shares of Amer Group Holding (AMER.CA) declined by 9.12 per cent, to close at 1.245 Egyptian pounds a share.

The shares of Sharkia National Food (SNFC.CA) dropped by 8.46 per cent, to close at the price of 1.374 Egyptian pounds a share.
