EGX closes red on June 5

Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed red on Wednesday. The main index, EGX30 sunk by 1.26 per cent, to 26,634.3 points.

The small to mid-size enterprises’ index, EGX70 went down by 1.87 per cent, to 5,794.95 points.

The index, EGX100 index dropped by 1.79 per cent, to 8,422.19 points.

The total market cap reached 1,789,179,421,218 Egyptian pounds.

The Arabs’ and Non-Arab Foreigners transactions were mainly buyers with a total of 1,113,216,202 Egyptian pounds, and 2,418,172,429 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, the Egyptians were net sellers with 3,531,388,631 Egyptian pounds.

Top gainers on Wednesday

  1. The shares of Rights Issue Of Sinai Cement -2 (SCEM_r2.CA) rose by 123.60 per cent, to close at the price of 0.720 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. The shares of Egyptian Financial & Industrial (EFIC.CA) climbed by 9.89 per cent, to trade at the price of 100.000 Egyptian pounds a share.
  3. The shares of Sinai Cement (SCEM.CA) jumped by 6.12 per cent, to the purchasing price of 10.920 Egyptian pounds a share.

Top losers on Wednesday

  1. The shares of M.B Engineering (MBEN.CA) fell by 11.81 per cent, to close at 1.374 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. The shares of Arab Co. for Asset Management And Development (ACAMD.CA) declined by 7.56 per cent, to close at 0.660 Egyptian pounds a share.
  3. The shares of Development & Engineering Consultants (DAPH.CA) dropped by 6.17 per cent, to close at the price of 58.550 Egyptian pounds a share.
