Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed red on Wednesday. The main index, EGX30 sunk by 1.67 per cent, to 25,988.93 points.
The small to mid-size enterprises’ index, EGX70 dropped by 1.86 per cent, to 5,750.71 points.
The index, EGX100 index went down by 1.82 per cent, to 8,252.02 points.
The total market cap reached 1,759,487,572,604 Egyptian pounds.
The Egyptians’ and Arabs’ transactions were mainly sellers with a total of 1,708,006,678 Egyptian pounds, and 819,142,188 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, the Non-Arab Foreigners were net buyers with 2,527,148,865 Egyptian pounds.
Top gainers on Wednesday
The shares of TMG Holding (TMGH.CA) rose by 7.46 per cent, to close at the price of 62.350 Egyptian pounds a share.
The shares of Alexandria Flour Mills (AFMC.CA) climbed by 6.71 per cent, to trade at the price of 23.390 Egyptian pounds a share.
The shares of El Sewedy Electric (SWDY.CA) jumped by 4.04 per cent, to the purchasing price of 34.480 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers on Wednesday
The shares of QALA For Financial Investments (CCAP.CA – CCAPP.CA) fell by 12.77 per cent, to close at 2.800 Egyptian pounds a share.
The shares of International Agricultural Products (IFAP.CA) declined by 8.20 per cent, to close at 11.760 Egyptian pounds a share.
The shares of Arabia Investments Holding (AIH.CA) dropped by 7.89 per cent, to close at the price of 0.595 Egyptian pounds a share.
