EGX earns L.E1.7 Billion on Thrusday’s Closing Trading Session

EGX has managed to earn L.E1.7 billion by the end of the trading session of Thursday. The market capital of the listed stock has reached L.E388.507 billion. EGX30 has recorded a rise of 0.38% to close at 5369.97p. EGX20 has also witnessed an increase of 0.60% to close at 6379.86p. In addition, EGX70 has witnessed a boom of 0.60% to close at 516.04p; the EGX100 has witnessed a raise of 1.67% to close at 873.14p. The market has recorded turnovers valued at L.E703.231 million through a volume of trading amounted to 171.890 million shares for the 41.846 thousand transactions.

185 listed securities have been traded in, 96 of them rose and 77 downed, while 12 remained flat.

The main reason for the EGX30’s rise is that the Egyptian investors were responsible for the purchasing activity as they have made up of 85.67% of the total market.

The foreign and Arab investors were responsible for the selling activity making up of 11.22% and 3.11% respectively of the total market.

The market has witnessed a collective rise except for the Commercial International Bank- Egypt (COMI)’s shares that had witnessed a dip of 0.04% to close at L.E25.04. EFG-Hermes Holding (HRHO) has had a rise of 2.50% to close at L.E15.18.

Orascom Telecom Media & Technology Holding (OTMT) has recorded an increase of 1.91% to reach L.E1.60. Orascom Telecom Holding (OTH) (ORTE) has witnessed a rise of 0.96% to close at L.E4.20. The shares owned by Orascom Construction Industries (OCIC) L.E14.75 have remained flat.
