The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed in the green on Thursday, with the main index, EGX30, rising by 1.08 percent to 30,060.48 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33 surged by 1.65 to 3,137.16 points.
The SMEs index, EGX70 gained 1.72 per cent to 8,283.41 points
The EGX100 index added 1.79 per cent to 11,418.11 points.
Egypt’s market capitalisation reached 2,198,715,359,369 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with 842,449,570 Egyptian pounds and 6,319,246,879 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, Egyptians were net sellers with a total of 7,161,696,449 Egyptian pounds.
Top gainers
- Shares of Ismailia National Food Industries (INFI.CA) soared by 20.00 per cent to close at 69.790 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of South Cairo & Giza Mills & Bakeries (SCFM.CA) jumped by 19.97 per cent, closing at 76.280 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Sinai Cement (SCEM.CA) climbed by 15.86 per cent, to close at 32.000 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers
- Shares of Nozha International Hospital (NINH.CA) dived by 11.11 per cent, closing at 8.000 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Reacap Financial Investments (REAC.CA) sank by 4.25 to close at 6.530 Egyptian pounds.
- Shares of Mena Touristic & Real Estate Investment (MENA.CA) lost 3.48 per cent to, closing at 4.160 Egyptian pounds.
