Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) closed mostly positive on Thursday. The benchmark EGX30 index edged up 0.43 per cent to 28,750.82 points. The Shariah-compliant EGX33 index performed stronger, rising 1.12 per cent to 2,765.82 points. However, the small and mid-cap EGX70 index dipped slightly by 0.08 per cent to 6,502.67 points, while the broader EGX100 index gained a modest 0.05 per cent to 9,335.5 points
The total market capitalisation reached 1,974,710,592,644 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with a total of 383,686,162 Egyptian pounds, and 8,057,998,298 Egyptian pounds, respectively. On the other hand, Egyptians were net buyers with 8,441,684,460 Egyptian pounds.

- Shares of Ceramic & Porcelain (PRCL.CA) hiked by 10.61 per cent, to the purchasing price of 12.510 Egyptian pounds a share.
