EGX Gains EGP 1.7 Bln On Arabs Purchases

On Monday’s closing session, the EGX posted gains of EGP 1.7 billion as the capital market amounted to EGP 354.895 billion.

The main index, EGX30 climbed 1.09% to close at 5028 p. EGX20 inched up 0.66 % to close at 5866.34 p.

Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 edged down 0.13% to close at 433.01 p. Price index EGX100 rose 0.45% to close at 788.12 p.

Traded volume reached million 94.266 million securities worth EGP 481.626 million, exchanged through 23.842 thousand transactions.

 This was after trading in 173 listed securities; 84 declined and 65 advanced while 24 keeping their previous levels.

Egyptians and Arabs were net buyers seizing 63.91% and 8.36% respectively, of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 24.871 million and EGP 6.887 million, excluding the deals.

On the other hand, non-Arab Foreigners were net sellers seizing 27.73% with a net equity of EGP 31.758  million, excluding the deals.
