EGX Goes Down, Losses L.E 968 Million On Selling Pressures

On Monday’s closing session, the EGX incurred losses of L.E 968 million as the capital market amounted to L.E 357.388 billion.

The main index, EGX 30 solely went up 0.17% to close at 4955.64 p. EGX20 fell 0.50% to close at 5679.94 p.

Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 slumped 0.81% to close at 438.47 p. Price index EGX100 dropped 0.17% to close at 775.79 p.

Traded volume reached million 78.292 securities, at a value of L.E 348.005 million, exchanged through 19.844 thousand transactions.

This was after trading in 172 listed securities; 116 down and 39 up while 17 keeping their previous levels.

Egyptians were net sellers seizing 85.43% of the total market.

Arabs were net buyers seizing 1.22%.

Additionally, Non-Arab Foreigners were net buyers seizing 13.35%.
