Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) closed in the green area on Sunday, with the main index, EGX30 going 0.01 per cent higher to 30,014.27 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33 rose by 0.06 to 3,167.88 points.
The SMEs index, EGX70 ended flat to 8,610.12 points.
The index, EGX100 index increased by 0.09 per cent, to 11,742.18 points.
The total market capitalisation reached 2,225,106,376,148 Egyptian pounds.
Egyptians were net buyers with a total of 91,177,527 Egyptian pounds. Meanwhile, Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with 57,115,547 Egyptian pounds, and 34,061,980 Egyptian pounds, respectively.
Top gainers
- Shares of Egyptians For Investment and Urban Development (EIUD.CA) soared by 17.82 per cent, to close at the price of 0.324 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Gadwa for Industrial Development (GDWA.CA) jumped by 7.07 per cent, to trade at the price of 5.150 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Juhayna Food Industries (JUFO.CA) surged by 5.72 per cent, to the purchasing price of 37.520 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers
- Shares of Arabian Food Industries – DOMTY (DOMT.CA) plunged by 13.93 per cent, to close at 23.480 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of East Delta Flour Mills (EDFM.CA) dived by 6.63 per cent, to close at 213.920 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Gogreen for Agricultural Investment (GGRN.CA) sank by 6.21 per cent, to close at the price of 1.660 Egyptian pounds a share.
