EGX Losses L.E 1.7 Bln amid Selling Pressures; Early Trading

EGX has incurred losses of L.E 1.7 during Thursday’s early trading, as the capital market reached L.E 372.209 billion.

The main index, EGX 30 slumped 0.48% to reach 5109.52 p. EGX20 decreased 1.53% to reach 5913.76 p.

Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 downed 0.18% to reach 482.63 p. Price index EGX100 dipped 0.12% to close at 825.83 p.

The market has recorded values of L.E 4.715 million; while the volume traded reached 1.460 million securities executed over 406 transactions.

This was after trading in 57 listed securities; 39 down and 10 up while 8 keeping their previous levels.

Egyptians were net sellers seizing 91.65% of the total market, with a net equity of L.E 482 thousand, after excluding deals.

Arab and foreign investors were net buyers seizing 2.97% and 5.38% respectively of the total market , with a net equity of L.E 116 thousand and L.E 365 thousand respectively, after excluding deals.
