EGX starts week in red on Nov 17

Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) closed in the red area on Sunday, with the main index, EGX30 going down by 0.67 per cent, to 31,252.07 points.

The Shariah index, EGX33 fell by 0.45 to 3,217.13 points.

The SMEs index, EGX70 dipped by 0.04 per cent, to 8,403.85 points.

The index, EGX100 index dropped by 0.19 per cent, to 11,644.97 points.

The total market capitalisation recorded 2,272,799,560,023 Egyptian pounds.

Egyptians and Arabs were net buyers with 1,485,567,946 Egyptian pounds and 428,343,337 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, non-Arab foreigners were sellers with a total of 1,913,911,283 Egyptian pounds.

Top gainers

  1. Shares of Samad Misr -EGYFERT (SMFR.CA) jumped by 20.00 per cent, to close at the price of 93.600 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. Shares of Arab Valves Company (ARVA.CA) soared by 9.36 per cent, to trade at the price of 4.090 Egyptian pounds a share.
  3. Shares of El Obour Real Estate Investment (OBRI.CA) climbed by 9.24 per cent, to the purchasing price of 9.340 Egyptian pounds a share.

Top losers

  1. Shares of Rights Issue Of Aspire Capital Holding for Financial Invest (ASPI_r2.CA) dived by 10.87 per cent, to close at 0.041 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. Shares of Act Financial (ACTF.CA) sank by 4.05 per cent, to close at 3.550 Egyptian pounds a share.
  3. Shares of El-Nile Co. for Pharmaceuticals and Chemical Industries–Nile1 (NIPH_r1.CA) tumbled by 4.03 per cent, to close at the price of 34.010 Egyptian pounds a share.
