EGX Wins EGP 4.5 bln During Monday’s Closing Session

During Monday closing session, the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has managed to continue its gains to eventually reach EGP 4.5 billion as the capital market has amounted to EGP 406 billion.
The main index, EGX30 rose by 1.27% to end at 5895.63 p.  EGX20 went up by 1.35% to close at 6926.88p.
Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap, EGX70 rose by 0.76% to conclude at 571.73pts.  Price index EGX100 also went up by 0.81% to finish at 939.09 p.
Traded volume reached 410.849 million securities worth EGP 1.366 billion, exchanged 64.076 thousand transactions.
This was after trading in 186 listed securities; 112 advanced 67 declined while 7 keeping their previous levels.
non-Arab Foreigners were net buyers seizing 13.17% of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 47.678 million excluding the deals.
On the other hand, Egyptians tend to profit-taking transactions as they were net sellers seizing 81.26% with a net equity of EGP 30.660 million, as well Arabs were net sellers seizing 5.57% with a net equity of EGP 17.018 excluding the deals.

Leading Shares:

EGX’s leading shares witnessed unsteady performance.

Orascom Telecom Media & Technology Holding:

Orascom Telecom Media & Technology Holding (OTMT.CA) roseby 3.57% to close at EGP 0.58.

Orascom Construction Industries:

Orascom Construction Industries (OCIC.CA) soard by 1.24% to conclude at EGP 299.76.

Orascom Telecom Holding:

Orascom Telecom Holding (OTH) (ORTE.CA) rose by 3.55% to end at EGP 3.79.

EFG-Hermes:

EFG-Hermes Holding (HRHO.CA) slumped by 3.21% to end at EGP 12.97.
