With over 47,000 attendees, 500+ exhibitors, and 11 international country pavilions representing 120 nations, EGYPES 2025 showcased advancements in oil, gas, renewables, and digital transformation. The event featured seven high-impact conferences, where 300+ expert speakers engaged with 2,500 delegates on critical industry challenges and opportunities.

A key highlight of the event was the Strategic Conference’s ministerial panel discussion, where senior Egyptian government officials outlined policies and investment mechanisms to support international collaboration. Discussions centered on energy security, expanding exploration programs, integrating renewables into national grids, and advancing low-carbon initiatives for long-term energy stability.

Finance & Investment Conference: Funding the Future of Energy

On the final day, the Finance & Investment Conference examined the role of global capital in ensuring energy security and sustainable development. Minister of Finance, Ahmed Kouchouk, emphasised the importance of a diversified energy mix and significant budgetary allocations to upgrade electricity networks. He also highlighted Egypt’s productive partnership with Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Energy, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, which has facilitated greater regional cooperation.

Leadership & Development: Driving Innovation & Workforce Transformation

At the Leadership and Development Conference, C-suite executives explored how technology, sustainability, and workforce evolution are shaping the energy industry. Sessions focused on equipping industry leaders with the skills and strategies needed to navigate decarbonization, foster innovation, and build a resilient energy workforce.

Egyptian Minister of Petroleum, Karim Badawy, concluded EGYPES 2025 by stressing the conference’s comprehensive approach to the energy sector’s challenges. “We built a programme that explored both traditional oil and gas industries alongside the rising importance of renewables and energy efficiency. Furthermore, we emphasised the integrated approach necessary at all levels to achieve sustainable energy goals.” he stated.

EGYPES Energy Awards: Honouring Excellence in the Sector

The EGYPES 2025 Energy Awards recognised outstanding contributions across four key categories:

• Best Health and Safety Project of the Year: Amr Lifescience Egypt Company won for their Carbolex device, which reduces gas emissions and facilitates graphene production.
• Best Breakthrough Project of the Year: The LDAR programme received this honour for its efforts in monitoring and mitigating fugitive emissions.
• Operational Excellence Project of the Year: BP was awarded for their LDHI project, fostering innovation in gas and condensate production in Egypt.
• Young Energy Professional of the Year: Malak Manie, HSSEQ and Maintenance Supervisor at TotalEnergies, was recognized for her exceptional contributions.
