Egypt allocates EGP 90 bln in FY2026/27 budget to support exports, industry

Egypt has allocated 90 billion Egyptian pounds in its fiscal year 2026/27 budget to support production, exports, and entrepreneurship, Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk said on Sunday.

The allocation includes 48 billion pounds for export rebate payments and nearly 7 billion pounds to support the tourism sector, according to the finance minister.

The budget also provides 6 billion pounds in financing facilities for productive sectors to boost industrial and agricultural output, alongside 5 billion pounds to support small businesses and entrepreneurship activities.

In addition, nearly 5 billion pounds has been earmarked for the automotive industry, while 2 billion pounds will be allocated to incentives for priority industries, he added.

The measures are part of the government’s efforts to stimulate economic activity, strengthen productive sectors, and encourage private-sector-led growth.

Kouchouk said the budget aims to build a more resilient economy capable of achieving strong and balanced growth while better supporting investors and businesses.
