Egypt approves $376mln urgent allocations in July

The Egyptian Ministry of Finance approved urgent financial allocations of 6 billion Egyptian pounds to several state-run bodies during July, according to minister of Finance, Mohamed Maait

The allocations include 4 billion pounds to the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC), in addition to 400 million pounds for the purchase of local wheat during the 2020 harvest season.

The finance ministry also approved an allocation of 220 million pounds to the National Media Authority to meet the financial obligations towards the employees and 50 million pounds to the National Press Authority.
