Egypt, Axens discuss carbon Reduction, sustainable aviation fuel

Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawy met on Wednesday with Axens CEO Quentin Debuisschert to discuss the company’s activities and future plans in petrochemicals, energy efficiency, carbon reduction, biofuels, and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).

Minister Badawy emphasised that these sectors are key pillars of the ministry’s strategy to diversify Egypt’s energy mix, with a strong focus on developing sustainable aviation fuel. He highlighted the country’s promising investment opportunities in these fields and expressed optimism about achieving mutual success in the near future.

Debuisschert reaffirmed Axens’ expertise in petrochemicals, carbon reduction, and biofuels, showcasing the company’s advanced technologies in these areas. He also praised Egypt’s strong investment potential and expressed Axens’ eagerness to establish a long-term strategic partnership with the country.
