Egypt’s bourse ended lower on Wednesday incurring losses totaled EGP 82 million. The benchmark index fell below 5670 pts.
The Egyptian Exchange indices were wavering in mixed notes during the closing session of Wednesday.
Egypt’s benchmark index EGX30 ended 0.27 per cent lower to 5665.44 pts, and the EGX20 also finished 0.06 per cent down to 6632.17 pts.
On the other hand, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 rose by 0.16 per cent to conclude at 483.14 pts. The price index EGX100 also dropped by 0.06 per cent to close at 808.25 pts.
The capital market has closed at EGP 378.733 billion on Wednesday.
Lower Traded Volumes & Trades
Through the closing session of Wednesday, the trading volume has reached 103.738 million securities. For the traded value, it hit EGP 385.634 million, exchanged through 21.910 thousand transactions.
Also during the closing session, 178 listed securities have been traded in; 90 declined, 61 advanced; while 27 keeping their previous levels.
Investors’ Activity
Egyptians were net sellers seizing 82.27% of the total market, with a net equity of EGP 27.605 million, excluding the deals.
Meanwhile, the non-Arab foreigners and Arabs were net buyers seizing 13.16% and 4.57% respectively, of the total market, with net equities of EGP 19.386 million and EGP 8.219 million, excluding the deals.
